San Juan is AMAZINGLY delicious!!

Well...after a whirlwind 11 days, we made it back in one piece! Everything turned out to be amazing!! I usually think cruise food is quantity vs. quality...but Royal Caribbean STEPPED IT UP!!! Everything was fantastic! So fantastic, in fact, that we are on definite DETOX this week;) (Notice "our menu" for the week;)

But I have LOTS of fabulous eats to show you guys. Even Scott got into the swing and took pictures of all of his meals too:) I'll spread them out during the week in between posts about our dinners of lettuce & water;) hahahahhahahahahha....So let's start at the beginning...with our extra few days in San Juan....

And we couldn't have picked a better place for our first meal in Puerto Rico, because they were NOT lying about the "Ocean Front" claim....

How gorgeous is this??? All my stress of the past 24 hours flew right out this window! ;)

And the food was really good too! I chose the boneless pork pieces with onion and plantain "spiders"...yum!

Scott got a Mexican plate:) I don't remember what much was, except that he liked the flat taco in the back the best:)

Dinner that night was, if not one of the best...THE BEST meal I've EVER had!! (Sorry Agua Azul!:(And, of course, we started with the BEST Pina Coladas....I'm drooling just looking at these....

So coconut-y, creamy and sooooo delicious!!!!

We started with the queso frito...which is just fried cheese, but "queso frito" just sounds like it would have LESS calories, doesn't it? ;)

Here was Scott's insane Fred Flinestone dinner...the "Chuleta Kan Kan" or the BIG PORK CHOP and um....they weren't kidding:)

But here was the piece de resistance...with a picture that does it ZERO justice! This, my friends, is the steak mofongo. Oh my God...I took one bite of this and was in HEAVEN!! I don't even have a word to describe how amazing this was....

Amazing to the last drop!! "Mofongo" is fried plantains and the steak was just soooooo tender and perfectly seasoned! I want a wooden bowl of this RIGHT NOW!! :)

For dessert, we had one of my favorites: Tre Leche Cake....I was so full & so very happy:)

We liked "Raices" so much...we went there for dinner twice!!! :)

For breakfast the next morning, we went to one of my last minute San Juan food searches and headed to "Cafeteria Mollorca"... Mollorca's are the pastries on the bottom shelf...

And breakfast was exactly what I wanted: A fruit salad and a ham & cheese mallorca! SOOOOOO GOOD!!! The sweet & salty combo of the "sandwich" was a great way to start the day:)

Our last meal in San Juan we were back at Hacienda Don Jose's for more gorgeous ocean views with lunch:) Since I now was in LOVE with mofongo, I tried the shrimp mofongo...good, but it was no "Raices"....

And Scott got the chicken burrito....

And right after this, we headed to the ship.....bon voyage!! :) More to come....
