Dinner by Scott;)

So I had dinner made for me last night thanks to my loverly husband:) Since it was my birthday pick, I went with one of my favorites that we get EXTRA excited for on the nights we plan it: Turkey Spinach meatballs with egg noodles:)

Love, love, LOVE it...and it had been lonnnnnngggg overdue since we made this recipe last, so I was a happy girl!!

Dessert was a slice of cake made by Scott's Dad that we had over the weekend. I now know where Scott gets his baking gene from...Lee can make a mean cake! Thanks again, if your reading this!

Yes...speaking of "Scott's baking gene"...I HAD to post pictures of our dueling birthday cakes from last year to show you my cake skills vs. Scott's:).....

Here was the cake I made for him...an Espresso Layer Cake. It was DELISH, however, the icing was so heavy, it kinda caved in on itself;)

And now: Check out his masterpiece!!! And the thing was...this tasted as good as it looked!!! The cake MELTED in your mouth! (not on your cake dish;) HEAVEN! Oh, I am a lucky girl indeed;) hahahahhahaha....

So anyways....while Scott cooked dinner last night, I kept busy prepping dinner for tonight! Do you want to guess what this will be??

I'll give you one hint...it's not the pumpkin polenta with spinach that I was originally planning on;) But I'm excited about it...it will be the PERFECT rainy day dinner!
