Valentines Day by Scott...

Oh, WHAT a fabulous food day I just had!!! :) Scott planned an AWESOME one! (and he was WORRIED!)...hahahahahhahahaa:) We started our day with a pilgrimage to the "Best Thing I Ever Ate/Diners, Drive Ins & Dives/Chowdown Countdown" burger MECCA: "White Manna" in Hackensack, NJ...
Now, I use the word mecca loosely, because this place was literally the size of MY KITCHEN...yet, you could have heard a pin drop. It was almost as if everyone was paying their respects to the 'Cathedral of the Slider...'

Amazingness in action:

This may not say romance to everyone, but in our house....this is true love;) hahahahhahaha....

We took our first bite and just stared at each other wide eyed....and then processed to not come up for air until they were gone....and then we ordered 3 more burgers;)

Soooooooooooooooooooooooooo freakin good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have a feeling we're going to smell like steamed onions for a few days, but WHO CARES! WORTH IT! :)

And in case you were concerned...yes, we split the fries ;) hahahahhahahahhahaa....I love crinkle fries;)

And since you all now know my love of cupcakes, it was very fitting that Scott picked "The Petite Cafe" in Nutley, NJ as our dessert stop...because they are home of the STUFFED CUPCAKES!!!

It took us another 10 drool-worthy minutes to pick our poison, and since there were no coconut options...I knew this Cannoli Dreams cupcake was all mine!!!...

It was a vanilla cupcake filled with cannoli cream and topped with cream cheese icing and chocolate chips. Ummmmm, can we say UNBELIEVABLE??? The cake was soooo moist and delicious and the frosting and "stuffing" were smooth, creamy and buttery;) Pure heaven! :)

Scott got "The Nutley" which was a chocolate cupcake filled with hazelnut chocolate cream and topped with chocolate hazelnut icing....yum!!!

And of course, we had to pick up a few for the road;)

He picked the Carrot Cake cupcake with cream cheese icing. I picked the "Mellow Days": Vanilla cake filled with marshmallow mousse and topped with vanilla icing. And we bought a Red Velvet cupcake to share...

And since it's a holiday and that I felt I owed it to you, my fine readers out in cyberspace, we barely walked through the front door before I broke into the case and split the Red Velvet in half to show you just how STUFFED these babies were...

As a lover of frosting, I will tell you this: AMAZING! :)

So after all the boeuf bourguignon, the "Scott brownie", White Manna and the STUFFED CUPCAKES...I had a fabulous and DELICIOUS valentines day/s!!!!! And of course, a special shout out to the BEST husband in the world! Thanks for a wonderful and super fun day!!! Love you!
