Snow Books & More Finds...

So NJ is apparently expecting a big snow storm this weekend....and what's a good snow day without a good book? Here is the one I'm currently reading and since it's food related, I thought I'd post it here for your viewing pleasure...

Synopsis according to Barnes and Nobles...
"When the author, an American journalist and software executive working in
London, is sacked from her high-powered job, she enrolls as a student at the
Cordon Bleu school in Paris. With limited cooking skills and grasp of the French language, she gamely attempts to master the school's challenging curriculum of traditional French cuisine. As if she didn't have enough on her plate eviscerating fish and knocking out pâtéà choux, she determines to write a book about her experience and gets married along the way. The result is a readable if sentimental chronicle of that year in Paris in which her love life is explored in great detail, dirty weekends and all, and cooking features as a metaphor for self-discovery."
I've only been able to read a few chapters so far...but so far, so good:)
And here's a picture from our dusting this morning...a sign of things to come??
So this afternoon I filled my quota for my at-least-once-a-week trek to Trader Joe's and found a few things that might interested you folks out there in cyberspace....

Have you ever tried Ezekiel bread?? It's made with sprouted grains (no flour) and I heard the contestants on "The Biggest Loser" eat this all the time on the ranch (and if it's Jillian & Bob approved, you better believe it's DONNA approved! :) I actually got Scott hooked on it too:)
And since the produce aisle was INSANELYRIDICULOUSLY crowded, I decided to check out the frozen vegetable section...and let me tell ya: Not too shabby:) I already found 2 other items I want to try, but I settled on these frozen artichoke hearts for tonights dinner. Something different from our normal broccoli/peas side dish:) ...
I bought one other item, but it's a surprise for Scott...although I have a feeling you'll be seeing it up here VERY soon;)
