Salt Creek Grille...

So...yesterday apparently continued my "self-tour of the Princeton dining scene" ;)  Thursday was Tre Piani and yesterday was one of my favorites: Salt Creek Grille...

I absolutely love the atmosphere of this place.  Dark wood, high ceilings, all surrounded by the centerpiece of an "indoor/outdoor" fireplace:)  The second you step out of your car, you're hit with the scents of grill, cedar wood & fireplace all in one shot:)   Mmmmm...cozy:)

We placed our completely obscene order and I had ZERO intentions of even TOUCHING the bread basket...until I found out the bread was covered in herbs & cheese.  Ok, ok...twist my arm! ;)

And what else would be the perfectly ridiculous appetizer for a Friday...but the Homemade Salt Creek Grill Potato Chips with sea salt, thyme & Gorgonzola.  How do you NOT order that? ;)  They were as good as they sound....

And sooooooo was THIS:

The "Stuffed Blues Burger"....Gorgonzola (yes, MORE Gorgonzola!) stuffed burger, topped with fried onions, blue cheese aioli on a King's Hawaiian Sweet Bun.  The first bite was absolute smokey/cheesy heaven.  This was a complete mess, but soooooo worth it!  One of the best burgers I've EVER had....

And could anything be a better compliment than a side of garlic fries??  :)

Now the Salt Creek Grille's signature dessert is the made-to-order chocolate souffle, that you need to order along with your entree, as it takes 25 minutes to make and it is to die for!  Butttt...we felt like going a different route and had the delectable Pecan Praline Ricotta Cheesecake...
I feel like I need to spend the rest of this weekend eating lettuce & water after reviewing this meal!  hahahahahahaha...oh well, I guess this counts as the 20% to my 80/20 rule ;) hahahahahahaha....

Have a good Saturday:)  We're headed off to the market this morning...ahhhhh, vegetables;)  I crave thee today:)
