Trader Joe's Treats....

Sooooo...since we had been drooling over the dinner selections at Trader Joe's lately, I thought last night would be a good night to try one of them out.  And what a better way to start then with their #1 food item of 2010:

And it went from that bag to this plate in under 15 minutes:)

We added a sliced up yellow pepper & onion for some extra veggies...

And then tossed in the chicken for 10 minutes to get crispy  (I might try it in the oven though, next time.  I like EXTRA crispy:)  And then one final toss with the sauce...

Mmmmmmmmmm....sooo good!  The sauce had a nice blend of orange & ginger without anything being TOO overwhelming and the chicken tasted like NON-greasy Chinese take out:)  Perfect-o:)

And dinner came together so quick, that I was even able to sneak in another round of "Yoga for the Warrior"...
OK...I must admit, this was a weeeeeeeeee bit harder than I remembered it from last week;)  My legs were SHAKING like CRAZY!  I guess ALL things in life seem easier when you're on vacation;) hahahahahahahaha.....

Anyway, back to food:)  Because what would a trip to Trader Joe's be without a few food finds??? :)  Answer = Very sad:)
Soooo...I picked up a pack of these to try for lunch next week....

Not too shabby in the stats!

I also picked up these Sesame Honey Almonds...I can't wait to try them with yogurt!

And finally....OK, so I always have a piece of fruit to have in the afternoons as a snack, but lately I decided I'm going to start bringing a piece of fruit to have with breakfast also.  Butttttt....being the 'savory' fan that I am, I started thinking "why can't vegetables be a snack too?"  And short of peeling carrots & dicing leeks in my break room, I thought these would make a good quick afternoon snack;) ...
Eggplant, Zucchini & Tomato = sold:)  A quarter of the bag is 70 calories, which is perfect!  I think these would be super filing, PLUS warming something up in the afternoons sounds like a pretty welcome treat for these cold winter months:)  (I know I dug my leftover mashed sweet potatoes yesterday afternoon!)

I'll let you know how all of these goodies are as I try them, but I thought I'd give you a few things to keep an eye out for:)

ALRIGHT...it is FRIDAY and it is SNOWING!!!  Pretty good combo, no???  And perfect since this is the FIRST Friday I haven't had plans in over a month!  So I'm VERY excited that tonight shall involve my husband, homemade pizza, Jersey Shore & Ghost Adventures.  Are we party animals, or what????

Have a great weekend! :)
