Yeahhhhhh.....last night was sooo. much. fun!:)
And of course, what's a night out talking about food without a good dinner?? :) And after perusing some menus, we decided to head over to Teak in Red Bank, since their menu was kinda hard to ignore in the 'fabulous' department:) I actually think 85% of the audience had the same idea since the ENTIRE restaurant was PACKED with women:) hahahhahahaha...(Single Men: Here's where to pick up a lady:)
We started with the La Rosa Mujere...which was spiced rum mixed with muddled strawberries and lemon, sugar and ginger ale...
Cheers:)
Next, we decided to split 2 appetizers. My friend suggested the tuna tartare, which I had never had...but loveeeeeed!
The smooth herb & garlic flavor tuna just melted along with the creamy avocado. Heaven, I tell you: Heaven! :)
And my appetizer pick, and how we ended up at Teak to begin with: Lobster & Avocado dumplings in a coconut rum sauce....
And yes...they were as good as they sound:) The wrappers were paper thin and filled with the sweet lobster and avocado...and the subtle hint of the coconut rum just knocked these out of the park!
We also ordered up 2 rolls to split. One on the healthier side, and one...not so much:)
The "angel" was the Royalty roll, filled with cucumber & avocado and topped with king crab and a mango basil sauce. Very good, but I must say: The "devil" was even better: filled with teriyake glazed salmon, cream cheese, peanuts, long beans and topped with a delicious smoked salmon tartare. Ohhhhh...to die for, even if cream cheese is the anti-Christ in the 'healthy sushi world' ;)
Andddd continuing the 'devil' theme (just kidding:)....we just had to sample two of their desserts. This time we went with one no fail dessert: Warm Chocolate Cake with vanilla ice cream....sooo good, although pretty impossible not to be:)
And one new dessert: The Roti Rolls, which were thin fried sweet Malaysian pancakes ribbons covered in some sort of cream drizzle. Oh man...were they aweseomeeeeeeeee! Sweet, slightly crunchy and just oohhh. soooo. good! We left with quite an array of flavors under our belts and headed up the few blocks to the theater:)
Which, we were quickly informed of the following information:
Funny, right?? Gotta love the 'behind the scenes' of a reality TV show:)
We grabbed our seats, but not before grabbing a couple Skinnygirl margaritas:) When in Rome, right??
And finally, it was time for the show:) Here's a rather blurry picture of my favorite skinnygal...
Bethenny was sweet, gracious, hilarious and very motivational! She talked and answered questions for almost 3 hours:) Love her!
Which brings us toooooooooo....FRIDAY! Yeah! :) I got in my Jillian Power Yoga Level 2 workout this morning and realized after I had showered that my legs were STILL shaking...at which point I said out loud to no one: "Guess somethin worked" :) hahahahhahaha! Hope you guys have great plans for the weekend...it's suppose to be an extra cold one in Jersey after our morning snowfall.
Have a great day! :)
Ohhhh...and Friday means Ekat's potluck:) I tossed in the ole tamales for this weeks entry:)
