Well, Friday didn't turn out to be as GREEN as I had hoped, but I had a pretty good reason for it:) Even though I had a salad all packed up and ready for lunch, it's pretty easy to turn it down when I get to meet up with Scott for a quick lunch at Trader Joe's:) And even though it wasn't SUPER stocked with veggies, I thought in the 'wrap' department that this was a little lesser of the 2 evils;)
I love these wraps because 1/2 of one is usually pretty satisfying and then = not too bad in the calorie department;)
As a side, we tried out these for a little CRUNNCHHHH...
A mix of red, blue and yukon gold potato chips:
And since these have no salt, they ACTUALLY taste like potato. (although, don't get me wrong: I LOVE me some salty chips!) But these were thick cut and rustic style chips that you could really taste the difference in the 3 potato varieties....quite unique!
And we can't have a lunch without sampling onnnnee little sweet treat....
I had brought the milk chocolate/macadamia version of these cookies to work the other day and let Scott sample one. He FLIPPED! They were drop dead good! Sooooooo....let's just say these weren't purchased on our FIRST spin through the store, but it was too hard to resist running back in to pick up the dark chocolate to try with our lunch;)
Lace cookies are the biggest pain in the ass to make, so I will GLADLY let TJ's take the reins on this one, especially when they're are SO. FREAKIN. GOOD! They taste like toffee crisps sandwiched with chocolate. Insane! (and if I'm pickin: I definitely say go for the milk chocolate/macadamia ones:) RUN to the store to try these out:)
While at TJ's, I also picked up a few things to bring out with me last night...
From box to oven to done in under 25 minutes:)
Sooooooo good....they puffed up into little creamy cheese & onion bites. Yum!!
And since puff pastry is a 'seasonal item' at TJ's (usually you can find it around the holidays), I ended by picking up a brie already all 'wrapped up' from the freezer section!
If you let it sit out for a half hour, you can remove the pastry enough to fill the brie with any 'extras' that you want, so I decided to try:
I found this on the shelves the other day and thought the Mango Butter would be PERFECT for Spring/Summer. I was hesitant about mixing it with the brie, but let me tell ya: HOME RUN! It tasted JUST like mango, which went so well with the smooth & creamy cheese! (it also makes really good dippage for peanut butter pretzels, but you didn't hear that from me;)
So, that's what I got for you today:) I just had to laugh that it was the 2nd Friday in a row that was a completely Trader Joe's dominated post;) Oh well, love them & all the quirky things you can find:) hahahahaha
I'll be in and out for the rest of the weekend, so I hope you guys have a good one!!!

I love Trader Joe's but the closest one is an hour and a half away from me. So sad. I need some of those chips. :)
