Welcome "Grilling: 2010 Edition!"

Since today was an absolutely GLORIOUS day, we decided what better day then to commence our first grilling night of the year! And first on deck was grilled pizza....oh, how I've missed you! ...
If you've never had grilled pizza, you MUST try it! It gives you that perfect, charred taste that you just can't duplicate in your oven (well, you probably could...but not with really "safe" results;)

So, I cheated again and stole a little help from TJ's.....Garlic & Herb dough for 99 cents??...can't beat that...
Usually we use a grill pan to cook the dough, but this time I threw the dough right on the hot grill and I'm proud to say we didn't loose one drop of it between the grates! When you try this, be sure that you let the dough cook fully on one side and the dough should lift right off...
...Then you add your toppings to the cooked side, before throwing it back on the grill to cook the flip side of the crust and to melt the cheese...
We knew we wanted to make a white pie with the last of the fresh mozzarella from my Cheese Class, and then we decided to "divide" the pizza and try out these 2 spices we bought in Tortola to kick it up a notch...(not to mention the 6 cloves of fresh garlic;)...
...and in less than 10 minutes: Cheesy Perfection!!
Here's the border line between the 2 spices..."The Super vs. The Dill"...it was the Sharks & The Jets of Pizza.... ;)
Sighhhh....dinner on the sun porch makes me oh-so-very-happy:) And so did this pizza....
I tried a slice of each, and one was just better than the next....this just may have been one of our best pizzas to date! And the crust...OH THE CRUST...it came paper thin and cracker crisp, just the way I LOVVVVEEESSSSSSS it!
In the end, the battle of the spices was too hard to decide. They were both just too darn good to pick a winner:) We'll be having this again VERRRY soon, me thinks;)
OK...I'm off to bed! I'm hoping to maybepossibly...get another "triathlon" in at the gym tomorrow morning, but we'll see how much I have to do tomorrow;) Have a Good Night!
