Seriously, one of my favorite "quick meals" on the planet is spaghetti with garlic & oil. I think I used to make that about 2-3 times a week when I lived at home, and now it has been FAR too long since we've reunited...until last night:)
And we went all "Classic Rome" by tossing in some grated cheese and black pepper into the mix...just lovely. And the most time consuming part of this dish: Waiting for the pasta water to boil! :)
First, dice up tons of garlic...
Add a few swirls of olive oil and a pat of butter to your frying pan...
Next, toss in the boatload of garlic....
...and toast until perfectly golden;)
While the garlic is golden-ing (??), cook your pasta for 7 minutes. Before you drain the pasta, add 2 ladles of starchy water to the garlic.
I mean...really??
Pure Deliziosa! :)
Not even kidding: This took, maybe, 10 minutes and it is just to die for;) Makes me crave a trip to Rome....ahem;)
But it wasn't ALL cheesey goodness....we also threw in some side salads to get some green in there;)
And cheesy pasta simple requires a workout SOMEWHERE in the mix:) ...
Tuesday Morning: Body by Bethenny 40 minute yoga
Tuesday Night: BbB 10 minute arms x 2 + 5 minutes "booty blast" x 2 = 30 minutes
The morning yoga was like heaven, but I was HATINGLIFE while doing the weights last night;) Possibly because I passed out on my couch around 7:30, woke up at 9 and decided I still wanted to sneak in my 2nd workout...WHILE watching "Cupcake Wars," mind you! Maybe not the best combo;) Doing rounds of lateral raises doesn't exactly go along with watching someone create a peanut butter & bacon cupcake:) It just made me want to ditch the weights & dive into the TV;) hahahahhahahahaha....
Annnnyways....I'm still having "one day late" syndrome, which is never a bad thing! So very happy it's ALREADY Midweek. Three day weekends are just the gift that keeps on giving, huh??
Enjoy your Wednesday;)
