OK...as much as it's a weekly "tradition" in our house, ya know Monday salads aren't usually met with me jumping for joy on COLD WINTER NIGHTS...like last night!!! Summer's one thing, but lettuce isn't as appealing when it's 15 degrees out;) So it was a VERY welcome surprise that last nights salad was soooooooo delicious!
Now, we've had some good...nay...great salads, but it's always nice when your basic betty turns out to be a deliciousness-fest;) In the mix:
- Chicken, baked in Montreal Steak Seasoning
- Lettuce
- Scallions
- Carrots
- Craisins
- Cheese
- Tortilla Strips
Don't know why...but this was sooooo good. I even brought along a bottle of salad dressing thinking that the boredom of these ingredients would need such things. But nope...not even necessary! The sweet, salty, spicy, crunchy flavors totally kicked some salad dressing back INTO the fridge!;)
And as delicious as this salad turned out to be, and even though I try to avoid it on Mondays, my sweet tooth would NOT quit from yelling "HEY DONNA! WE. NEED. SUGAR!" So I obliged with a few of my favorite, favorite TJ's treats that I picked up this season:
The fabulous Peppermint Pretzel Thins. OK folks-get this: Pretzels + White Chocolate Coating + Peppermint Bits. Yes...that is SWEET, SALTY AND CHRISTMAS all wrapped into one delicious bite! And the best part is: you can really only eat a few of them cause they pack a punch! MUST MUST MUST try these before they disappear for the season. If your a lover of the sweet & salty (AND CHRISTMAS) like me, you will NOT be disappointed!
Sooooo...my muscles are tightening as I sit here and type. Why, you ask? Cause I decided to start my day with the "moderate" Core workout on the Biggest Loser Wii game. Ya know, nothin like doing mountain climbers at 7am ;) Gotta work off the extra Christmas treats, right?;) hahahahhahahahaha....
What do you guys do to try to keep yourselves from crying on the scale come January 2nd?? ;)
Alright...you've heard enough from me today;) Ciao for now and enjoy your day:)
