Well...it came one day late, but I still think we can say we had a white Christmas in 2010:) The weather reports were actually correct and the snow is still coming down in droves as I type! ;)
And today was just the epitome of cozy and relaxing:) We got our work outs done early (me in the gym at 8:30 for yoga & pilates classes, and Scott on his rowing machine for over an hour:), and short of straightening up a few things, the rest of the day was a lounge fest:) Even cooking was lazy today:) For lunch, we had a few leftover raviolis and small meatball sandwiches topped with melted SMOKED mozzarella (from the Pork Store)....
Oh man, best meatball sandwiches ever! :)
After some more lounging (and a Chicago Bears victory for Scott!) we decided to take Penny for a wintery walk through the park around the corner from our house:)
Made even nicer by the fact that the park was all lit up with Christmas lights!
Christmas lights + Falling Snow = me being completely enchanted:) I never wanted to leave:)
Neither did Penny:)
It was So Beautiful!!!
And to help us warm up when we came back home, we fired up the stove to heat up all of our good Christmas leftovers! We had QUITE a selection:)
It was a FEAST! :)
Scott stuck with MORE raviolis, but I decided to have some leftover Spaghetti & Peanuts that my Mom had made on Christmas Eve...
Macaroni & Peanuts was always our tradition with my Grandmom...it's mixed nuts sauteed with garlic and oil and a few shrimps thrown in for extra flavor. I know this sounds 'different,' but believe me...it's amazing! It will always remind me of how excited we were to eat after coming home from church on Christmas Eve:) We could never cook it up fast enough;) hahahhahahahaha....
And I also heated up some leftover shrimp....the one fish we always had instead of the traditional seven;) hahahahhahaha
And OF COURSE, more Christmas Wreath bread was had;) Even Penny had her eyes on it;)
And we finished up our night with another slice of my Father-in-law's awesome Key Lime Pie...just off the charts good! Creamy, tart-but-not-too-tart and smoooth on a brown sugar graham cracker crust topped with fresh whipped cream...to die for:)
And now we're back to doing what we do best today: Lounging:) Hope your staying warm & cozy wherever you are! :)
Have a great night!

So beautiful! I was hoping DC would get more snow but we only had a dusting. I agree, there is nothing better than Christmas lights in the snow!
Our blizzard started yesterday afternoon and continued all through the night and into today. At least 16-18 inches! It's pretty out there, but I am so glad I have nowhere to go and can stay warm inside!
