After the Storm....

Sooooooo...the snow continued to fall throughout the night and we woke up to a state of emergency until 1 o'clock in the afternoon!  CRAZY!  It was just SUCH a nice day for neither of us to have to go ANYWHERE!

And snowy mornings require warm breakfasts:)  And we didn't have to look much further than underneath our Christmas tree for inspiration:)  I cracked into my Trader Joe's box from Santa and pulled out:
 I kid:)

Breakfast was more along the lines of this:

Which the waffle master of the house made into some pretty delish waffles:)  I love the extra crunch of the multigrains!

Andddd since the snow thwarted my plans for pilates class at the gym this morning....

The day actually brought some good calorie burn, including an hour of snow shoveling (could not BELIEVE how much this stuff piled up!)

And diving under my Christmas tree AGAIN to try out my NEW Bob Harper Yoga DVD...
Loved it!!!  Much more like a traditional Power Yoga class, with more balances and plank push ups.  It was 1 hour, including warm up and savasana and I felt GREAT afterwards!  Two thumbs up!

We also had some fun in the snow with Penny & our niece....
And there was also quite a few rounds of Wii "Just Dance":)  Man, that thing can work you up into a sweat!!!  (and ooohhhhh...if I was a mean wife, there would have been FOOTAGE...that's all I'm saying;)  So after shoveling, yoga, snowball fights and DANCE, we had worked up a pretty good appetite by the time we went to dinner:)

Now, I know you're going to think I need an intervention as this was my THIRD trip here in about 2 weeks, but I must blame tonight's trip to Pete's Steakhouse on the fact that we got our niece addicted to the Vanilla Cokes they sell there LAST Christmas and she was wishing for another one tonight:) hahahahhahaha  Soooooooo...for my 3rd dinner there, tonight I decided on the "Green Sandwich"...
Which does not look too green in the picture, buttttt was a delicious mix of broccoli rabe, spinach and provolone on that delicious garlic bread.  YUM!  I think it's impossible to have a bad meal at Pete's:)

Andddd back at the house, we warmed up with some hot chocolate & Christmas cookies...
OK...and quite a few more rounds of Just Dance:) hahahhahahaaha....there's quite a Wii tournament going on in my house right now which I must get back to;)  Hope you guys had a good day and are staying warm!

PS-I may have a fun breakfast post to show you in the afternoon...so stay tuned;)
