With a title like that, does dinner really need any more of a description?? :)
Well, it was made even EASIER for ME since Scott did 99% of the work ;) I came home to him with full pots blazin...
All under Penny's watchful eye, of course;)
All she wanted was a slice of smoked Gouda. Could you blame her for begging?? :)
But no, we had to save the Gouda for the cheese sauce for our chicken...
...which ALSO may have found it's way onto the steamed broccoli....
...and may even have plans for a findango tango with the other half of this potato in the near future:)
So needless to say, we had a pretty hearty and well rounded dinner made COMPLETE by the cheese...and WHO, pray tell, can complain about THAT?? :)
And since it was downright cold & dreary in Jersey yesterday, an afternoon trip to the Starbucks was necessary. And I was soooooooooo excited to try out the NEW Cocoa Cappuccino! Only problem: By the time I got back to work (a mere 10 minutes later) my cappuccino foam had completely melted;( Leaving me with this:
Oh well....at least what was left in the cup was REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY good. It had a super strong cocoa taste mixed with the nice smooth coffee. And in "good/less" news, a small non-fat cup clocks only 120 calories and in the miracle of sweet tooth miracles: I didn't need to add one SPRINKLE of sugar;) And it was great for a chocolate craving AND a caffeine boost:)
Win/win/win!
Andddd thankfully I woke up about 85% LESS sore than on Tuesday morning, so I felt MUCH better about:
Wednesday Morning: 30 minutes Pure Power Yoga
Sooooo since it's been gloomy/rainy and yes, even some snow around here lately, I am soooo back into full out "comfort food" mode;) I'm already thinking about what 'cozy' meals I can make for this upcoming chilly weekend (even though I did enjoy those "warmer weather" Blizzards on Saturday!) What to make, what to make? Butterscotch sticky buns, cornbread topped bourbon chicken, another chicken and leeks pie??
Decisions, decisions;) Have a good Thursday everyone!
