So I HAD to sneak in one other little post before showing you the LAST of our San Fran treats (wah!). Because, if it's a holiday, you know we're going to 'theme it up' as best as we can at our house;)
And if it's true what they say about 'you are what you eat,' then my GREEN apparel:
(and yes, we're getting rid of the gingerbread tree this weekend!)
Matches our GREEEEEN dinner;)
I know, I know...it's not really Irish, but it's the best an Italian lass can do;) hahahahhahahahaha
And adhering to my latest "do it now, not later" mantra, I FINALLY decided to crack open the bag of pasta that I had gotten from the Chelsea Market back in...SEPTEMBER!
Isn't it a cool little shape??
And once cooked, they became like little bouncing curls. Too cute:) Perfect shape to hold the GREEN pesto;)
Andddd then it was time for the big guns! And I was proud of my excellent foresight (AGAIN!) and picked us up an Irish Cream Cupcake from Crumbs after we landed at Newark airport on Saturday night:) (which, we may or may not have a few extra 'cakes hanging out in the freezer at the moment;)
You could just TASTE the coffee soaked into the vanilla cake. And it was topped with an awesome Irish Creme cream cheese frosting and a dot of espresso butter cream on top. Needless to say: My 'coffee-lover' husband was in 7th heaven:)
So yeah...just thought I'd give you a little peek at our St. Patty's "festivities"....no, it's not corned beef or green beer, but it's how we roll ;)
I'll be back with the rest of our West coast eats later! Have a great Friday, everyone:)
