Wednesday Recap:
9:00am: Breakfast- Go Lean crunch
Yesterday morning called for a carby, crunchy craving that needed to be handledJ
Workout: Power Yoga
Our class walked in and deemed the temperature in the room somewhere around a tropical rain forest. So needless to say, by mid-class, I felt DIS-GUS-TING. A day where pigeon couldn't come fast enoughJ
1:00pm: Lunch- YEP...
I'm sure you guessed there was going to be a quota of this at some pointJ
3:00pm: Snack- Hummus & Pretzels
Carby, crunchy was the order of the day yesterday, apparently. Probably the afternoons 'snack attack' was due to these pretzels that no one in my house can get enough ofJ They are HOLLOW on the inside:
All the crunch, none of the 'filler.' And despite what you (& I) might think...NOPE, these DO NOT have any less calories than regular pretzels. Isn't that weird?? I don't even understand how that's possible, but they're still very good.
6:00pm: Dinner- Crockpot chicken Tacos
The prep for this dish included adding 2 chicken breasts into the crock pot & topping with taco seasoning (enough to cover the chicken) and 1/2 jar of salsa (Trader Joe's Roasted Garlic, to be specific) and turning it on high for 4 hours. Once the time was up, you gave the chicken a quick shred before filling into taco shells with cheese & baking for about 3-5 minutes to melt the cheese.
In other words: Beyond easy!
Oh yeah...and more yellow rice. Cause we can't stop/won't stopJ
8:00pm: Dessert- Harvey Ice Cream Bars
These were little indulgent for a mid-week dessert, but after Scott suggested one, it was hard to turn down. What was also hard to turn down was the DOLLAR I spent for the 6-pack of these bars, or they probably wouldn't have even been in my house to begin with.
MO-DER-ATION! Proceed with cautionJ.
Alright...well, I better get back to my little co-blogger, who took up camp next to me this morning. She went from 'sharks, with eyes & teeth'...or so I was toldJ
To eating (another) bowl of Go Lean crunch along with me...J
HAVE A GREAT THURSDAY!
