"Friendsgiving" :)

Hi everyone!  Sorry for my delayed post...but I figured I would make up for it today by showing you my dinner from last night:)  And the reason it was AWESOME was because last night's dinner was a little thing known as "Friendsgiving":)

What's "Friendsgiving," you ask?

Well, "Friendsgiving" started off as my friends & I making our own little Thanksgiving dinner (and getting to try out those recipes we KNEW our families would never try;) a few weeks before the main event and watching the Thanksgiving episodes of...well, FRIENDS:)  ("Ross.  Drugs.  Divorced...again" = Amazing:)  Last year we watched all the Christmas episodes of "The Office" and this year was spent making silly faces and crawling around with my friend's baby....but we think the "Friendsgiving" moniker shall forever remain;)  And much like our Wine & Cheese party:  The REQUIRED dress code for Friendsgiving is PJ'S:)  (which I somehow failed to snap a picture this year, so here was us last year....obviously, PRE-baby;)
And before we get to the food...let's just talk about the NOW almost 1 year old little genius, shall we?  Since he also contributed to our dinner:)  He made us these INCREDIBLE turkey hand print placeholders (which I'm framing today:)

...and a hand painted box, which now resides on my desk;)
Are they the best gifts, or what???  The child is a genius, I'm just sayin:)

And on to our Thanksgiving dinner:)  And I think I can say we finally may have hit our stride this year by making JUST enough food;)  (we ALWAYS end up having enough to feed about 400 people;)
Our host made her infamous spinach/stuffing balls, INSANELY good walnut stuffing (aka.-the best part of the meal!  Let's not kid ourselves:  Stuffing is da bomb;), and of course:  The bird:)

My other friend got on her inner Sandra Lee and turned ordinary cranberry sauce into FALL magic;) :
She also made AWESOME corn pudding...ugh, like HEAVEN! :)

I made roasted butternut squash mixed with maple syrup & topped with marshmallows (it IS Thanksgiving "Friendsgivings" after all:)  They're mixed in somewhere on this happy plate;) ....

I also made this Caramelized garlic "Pumpkin" cheeseball ...I ate WAY to much of this!!  It was ADDICTING!

And we saved JUST enough room to try my friends Marbled Pumpkin Cheesecake!  Ummmm...could you REALLY go wrong here???  Answer: Hell no! :)  SOO GOOD!
So I hope you enjoyed our 2nd little FALL tradition:)  It's a great way to get together before the SERIOUS craziness of the holidays sweeps everyone up and flies them around in a million directions:)  hahahahhahaa....

So HAPPY FRIDAY everyone!!!  And since it's Friday, I've entered my Sweet Potato Gnocchi in EKat's Friday Potluck...

Hope you guys have a GREAT night and a wonderful weekend:)

I love that your parties are mandatory pjs! I think I should start doing that!
What a feast you have here. Everything looks great, but I think the Caramelized Garlic Cheese Ball wins for me. I can imagine it would be hard to stop eating that!
