No Limo ride home, but....

On what turned out to be a clear (albeit, SUPER HUMID) night, we decided to express our TRUE "Jersey-ness" and headed to the land of the classy AND trashy....Atlantic City!  As someone noted: you could spend HOURS just 'people watching.'  There is every kind of character IMAGINABLE down there;)  It is always an experience.
Oddly enough, I think I spent more time in AC as a kid than I ever have in my "post-21" life:)  My Grandmom & Aunt used to take me with them on bus trips and alternate baby-sitting me while the other went to gamble:)  Such good memories:)

Anyway, on THIS particular evening we got all fancied up and headed to...

"Carmine's" in the Quarter at Tropicana.  Known for their HUGE portions that you share 'family style,' the Carmine's in NY is an institution...but this one in AC adds just ENOUGH of a Jersey-dose of big hair and 'guido juice heads' ;)  hahahahhahaa...(if I only could have included pictures;)

You place your order from the MASSIVE menus scattered on the walls, amongst the portraits of Dean Martin & Frank Sinatra... ;)
(Photo Credit...since I somehow missed this picture!;)

We couldn't have POUNCED on the bread basket quick enough...but we all tried to hold off a bit since we knew MOUNTAINS of food were on their way...

Did I say mountain??  We didn't even place the rest of our order before THIS arrived at the table!!  It was dubbed "The best Caesar salad ever" from one diner;)  It really is SOOO good and the croutons just knock this one outta the park!

Thankfully, we got to breath a bit before our dinner rolled out...since when it did, we were met with THIS:

One of my true, true favorites:  Spaghetti & Meatballs....

Manicotti STUFFFFFFFFED with cheese!  Thankfully, there was exactly ONE for each of us!

And finally....just a teeny tiny serving of chicken parm! hahahahahaha...I wish we ordered one of the steaks JUST so I could post a picture here.  It literally looked like a dinosaur leg;) hahahhahahahaha.....

And despite the MASSIVE portions...ummmm....we managed to do PRETTY OK....;)  Everything was just delicious perfection!

And as much as we wanted to order the dessert named "THE TITANIC" (use your imagination;), we were all too stuffed to the GILLS!!!!!!!!!!  And what better way to burn it off then a stroll down the boardwalk.  Talk about characters (shaking my head), it takes ALL kinds... ;)
And maybe just a few dollars made it into the slot machines in hopes of winning the big million dollars;)  Oh well, for now I'll settle for a great night with great food & great company:)

Hope you enjoy your Sunday.  Scott just informed me there is a "Ghost Adventures" marathon on later today;)  Couch, please! :)
