Morning, all! Just thought I'd drop a quick line since I left you guys hanging on Friday. Sooooooo this weekend I began training for YOGA TEACHER CERTIFICATION! Say whatttttt????? If you told me I would be doing this about 6-7 years ago, I would have said you were COMPLETELY INSANE! Yet, there I was on Saturday, amongst our beautiful group of 28 other teacher applicants, learning all about this crazy thing we call yogaJ I thought about it for months, signed up at nearly the LAST SECOND, walked in COMPLETELY terrified and even in one weekend, realized this is going to be one of the BEST experiences of my whole life. In just one brief weekend, it's already opened about 96 other 'pathways' from me, so WHO KNOWS what's going to happen after a 9 month span?? (training is one weekend a month for 9 months, FYI). All I know is I almost BACKED OUT about 700 times in the week leading up to it and realized how SAD I would have felt seeing THESE pictures from the weekend...
...and knowing I wasn't a part of this year's training. Not to mention, I would have missed out on knowing these 27 other incredible people, that already felt like family in 2 days. I CONSTANTLY struggle with wanting to know the 'last chapter of the book' before I even OPEN the book, so diving head first into this class is a big step for me in seeing where something will lead, rather than having all my 'ducks in a row' before trying anything. Ya feel me, peeps???
Not to mention, how COMPLETELY RIDICULUS was this setting on Sunday, where we held class outside nearly ALL DAY....
I mean...FALL: 101
The only 'problem' was the opening weekend of the program fell on our 6th anniversaryJ On a day that was nearly IDENTICAL to the day we said our "I dos", aka- warm & not nearly a cloud in the skyJ
So since I spent 9am-6pm with yoga peeps, we celebrated the next best way we could, which was having Scott & Katie pick me up and we headed right to the newly opened Smashburger on Route 1.
Holy hell, nothing says "Happy Anniversary & I love you" much like a freakin awesome burger and fries, AMIRIGHT?? Smashburger is not unlike Five Guys, In & Out and Bobby Flay's Burger Palace, and this variation ranks amongst the best of that group. The burger itself was flavorful & juicy, the toppings (in my case: The "New Jersey" with blue cheese, crispy onions, mayo, lettuce and tomato on an onion bun) were all divine and UMMMMM...SMASHFRIES, anyone??? AKA- fries with olive oil, rosemary & garlic??? Holy hell, this whole meal was good. I wish another just like it would appear in front of me RIGHT NOW. (even if it IS 9:29amJ)
Not to mention my RIDICULOUSLY proud moment when Katie DIPPED HER FRIES in her vanilla milkshake, PURELY by sweet & salty instinct. THAT'S MA GIRL!
OK, well I already have to run off to get this day started, even though I know I don't even have a Monday recap for you. Let's just say it was pretty similar to LAST WEEK, with lots of APPLES & veggiesJ Have a great Tuesday & I'll talk to you guys later!
